The history of Château Minuty
Château Minuty was born in 1936, when Gabriel Farnet bought a 17-hectare vineyard on the Saint-Tropez peninsula. After the war, he replanted the abandoned vines and began producing red and rosé wines. In 1955, Château Minuty became one of 23 estates classified as Cru Classé des Côtes de Provence.
In the 1960s, his daughter Monique and her husband Étienne Matton restructured the vineyard and renovated the buildings. They introduced typical grape varieties such as Tibouren and Rolle, and created the famous “corseted flute” bottle, now emblematic.
Their work is continued by their sons, Jean-Etienne and François Matton, who develop Château Minuty‘s signature pale, elegant rosés, now recognized in over 100 countries. Since 2012, the estate has been opening up to visitors, and in 2023, Château Minuty will join the LVMH group.

A terroir in the heart of Provence
Château Minuty enjoys an ideal setting on the Saint-Tropez peninsula. The Mediterranean climate, with plenty of sunshine and the influence of the sea, produces ripe, well-balanced grapes.
Soils of schist, limestone and clay give grape varieties such as Grenache, Tibouren and Rolle their character and aromatic diversity. It’s this blend of climate and soils that makes the renowned quality of Château Minuty wines.
The estate works with limited yields and respectful vineyard practices to preserve its environment. Thanks to this terroir, Château Minuty produces wines that are fresh, precise and representative of Provence.
Château Minuty’s expertise
Château Minuty combines tradition and innovation to produce quality wines while respecting the environment. Since its creation in 1936, the estate has never used herbicides, preferring organic soil improvers. Since 2019, it has been certified High Environmental Value, with a level 4 obtained in 2025, and 15 hectares are now in Organic Agriculture.
Harvesting remains 100% manual, guaranteeing the integrity of the grapes. The estate also maintains its soils with plant cover and grazes sheep to preserve biodiversity.
Faced with climate change, Château Minuty is investing in research: selection of suitable grape varieties, precision irrigation and connected weather monitoring. This approach demonstrates our determination to ensure the quality of our wines for the future.

Château Minuty wines
Château Minuty is best known for its rosés, emblems of Provence. Of these, Minuty M Rosé, fresh and light, is the most accessible, while Prestige Rosé and Rosé et Or offer more complexity. At the top, Château Minuty 281 stands out as an exceptional cuvée, elegant and refined.
The estate also produces some very fine whites, such as Blanc et Or and Prestige Blanc, which showcase the Rolle grape, typical of the region.
Last but not least, Château Minuty has not forgotten its reds, with cuvées such as Gabriel, Rouge et Or and Prestige Rouge, which express the power and finesse of Grenache and Syrah grapes.
With these different ranges, Château Minuty offers wines to suit every occasion, from the most convivial to the most prestigious.
