A guided boat tour is, of course, Port Grimaud’s flagship activity. Guided tours of Port Grimaud on coches d’eau, river boats used to transport passengers, take place from February to November. Rates are €6 per adult and €3 for children aged 3 to 12. Allow 20 min for the visit. During your vacation in Port Grimaud, you can also rent a license-free electric boat to cruise the canals following the beacons. Up to 5 people can climb aboard. Navigation is simple and requires no special knowledge. The cost is €30 for 30 minutes. Rental is available from April to October.

Visit the church of Saint Francis of Assisi

Like the rest of Port Grimaud, theecumenical church of Saint-François d’Assise only dates from the late 1960s. It was inspired by the church at Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer in the Camargue. It’s well worth a visit during your stay in Port Grimaud, if only for its roof access, which offers a breathtaking view of the whole of Port Grimaud, stretching as far as Saint-Tropez and Sainte-Maxime. You’ll have to climb 96 spiral steps and pay €1 to get there. Inside the church, architect François Spoerry has been laid to rest since his death in 1999.

The medieval village of Grimaud is 6 km from Port Grimaud. An itinerary links Grimaud to Port Grimaud by bike or on foot, avoiding the main roads.
