Fine sand, pebbles, pine forests, steep cliffs… the diversity of landscapes on these beaches are all reasons to discover several of them with your family during the vacations.
Here is a selection of the 10 most beautiful beaches in the Var, close to our campsite in Ramatuelle.

Notre-Dame beach in Porquerolles

Rix beach, on the island of Les Embiez
Ile des Embiez is a truly unspoilt haven of peace. Accessible by boat from Le Brusc in Six-Fours-les-Plages, this splendid island on the Côte d’Azur charms visitors with its wild landscapes.
While its beaches, such as the famous Plage des Allemands, appeal to visitors, the more discreet and difficult-to-access Plage du Rix stands out for its singular beauty.
It is highly prized for its unique, tranquil setting.
Saint-Clair beach in Le Lavandou
Nestled at the foot of a pine-covered hill, this Var beach is a turquoise jewel surrounded by greenery. The coastal path is the ideal way to get there; prepare yourself for a 20-minute stroll in an exceptional setting.
The remarkably clear water makes it possible to observe the seabed without even getting wet, directly from the path.
While in high season the crowds are noticeable, in spring and autumn this spot in Provence transforms into a haven of peace.
Argent beach, Porquerolles
Porquerolles is definitely a place full of charm… In addition to Plage Notre-Dame, another equally splendid beach awaits lovers of the sea and sunbathing in the Var: Plage d’Argent. Although it attracts more people, its beauty remains unspoiled.
Access by sea is exceptional. However, arriving by footpath, with the pine forest opening onto the beach, is also a pleasant surprise, and the wooden slats on the path add a touch of escape.

L’anse Méjean, Toulon
Anse Méjean, Toulon’s secret must-seecove, is typical of the Var coastline. Nestled below pine-clad cliffs, this
You’d almost think you were on a Greek island, even though you’re only a few minutes from downtown Toulon. You’ll enjoy moments punctuated by the song of the cicadas and the sound of the waves.
It’s a place on the Côte d’Azur where time seems to stand still, offering the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city for your vacation!
Renecros beach, Bandol
Another Côte d’Azur beach to discover during your vacation at our campsite is Plage de Renecros, in the seaside resort of Bandol.
This beach stands out for the exceptional clarity of its water, particularly after the Mistral wind. The former home of Raimu, now a hotel, overlooks the bay.
Protected from the wind, this magnificent Var beach is perfect for swimming and family walks along the water’s edge, even during the winter season.
Tahiti beach, Ramatuelle
Located at the northern end of Pampelonne beach, just outside Saint-Tropez, Tahiti Beach is one of the most famous beaches on the Saint-Tropez peninsula. It was the setting for the film “Et Dieu… créa la femme”.
The long stretch of sand on this beach, one of the most beautiful in the Var and on the Côte d’Azur, alternates between private and public beaches.
From the sand, you’ll have a breathtaking view of Cap du Pinet and Pampelonne beach.
The Escalet beach in Ramatuelle
Between Cap Camarat and Cap Taillat, this Var beach is surrounded by idyllic coves and inlets. The turquoise waters are almost Seychelles or Tahitian!
For a tour of the small coves, consider a family walk along the coast to Gigaro beach. It’s a 10 km walk to admire the beauty of the area, and a must on any camping vacation. Enjoy a swim or picnic in the shade of the umbrella pines.

La Verne beach, La Seyne-sur-Mer
Pebble beaches have the advantage of being less crowded than fine sand beaches.
They have a unique charm, often described as wilder and more authentic. La Verne beach, one of the most beautiful in the Var, is a perfect example.
To make the most of this experience, slip on your beach shoes, and don’t forget to bring a mask and snorkel so you and the kids can admire the rich seabed in this corner of the Côte d’Azur!
