The beaches of the Côte d’Azur are each more beautiful than the next, and Sainte-Maxime has 7 of them! The Croisette and downtown beaches offer superb views of Saint-Tropez. La Madrague beach is ideal for snorkeling. Plage de la Nartelle is ideal for families with children. The seafront promenade is one of the must-sees on your visit to Sainte-Maxime. It’s a pleasant place to discover the town’s atmosphere. There’s always something going on, from morning to night.

Sainte-Maxime’s town center is well worth a visit. It’s small, but nonetheless enchanting. You’ll love strolling through its narrow streets, filled with small boutiques, restaurants and bars. It’s in the town center that you’ll find the famous Tour Carrée.

See the Tour Carrée

The Tour Carrée is thelandmark of Sainte-Maxime. It used to house the Musée des Traditions Locales. Since 2018, the museum has unfortunately been closed. You can still admire the stone building from the outside. The tower dates back to the 16th century and was built to protect the town from pirates and religious wars.

Aqualand Sainte-Maxime boasts 13 water attractions. Whether you prefer thrills or relaxation, you’re sure to have a great day out with the whole family. The water park is open from late June to early September.

Also known as the Hôtel des Tourelles, the Château Léon Gaumont is a hotel restaurant overlooking the town. It dates from the late 19th century and belonged to the French industrialist who founded the Gaumont film company. Drop in to admire the view all the way to Saint-Tropez.
